The IEEE BAU WIE Committee proudly organized the TechVision Conference, a full-day event held on
April 5th, 2025, at the prestigious Hussein Cultural Center in Amman, Jordan. The event was conducted
under the supervision of Prof. Jawdat Alkasassbeh, Branch Counselor of IEEE BAU, and Eng. Sara
Alomari, Counselor of the IEEE BAU WIE affinity group.
With over 400 engineering students from various Jordanian universities in attendance, TechVision
aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by fostering direct engagement between
students and leading tech companies.
The conference launched in an innovative way—fully presented by a robot developed by Quill, setting
an exciting tone for the day. The agenda featured a dynamic mix of expert-led sessions, hands-on
workshops, and an insightful panel discussion, covering topics at the forefront of today’s technological
landscape, including:
Robotics applications in field operations ,Fire-fighting military robots (demonstrated live) ,Artificial
Intelligence and Data Analysis , Robotic Process Automation (RPA – discussed in a dedicated panel
session) , Supply Chain career insights , Space and Astronomy – science and application , The role of
robotics in future engineering
The panel discussion on Robotic Process Automation was moderated by Prof. Dr. Majed Dwairi,
featuring engineers from leading companies who shared real-world implementations and answered
students’ questions.
In parallel, TechVision hosted interactive booths by top technology companies, allowing students to
explore the latest engineering innovations and establish meaningful industry connections. Companies
showcased real prototypes, ongoing projects, and career insights.
Additionally, hands-on workshops and training opportunities were offered to attending students through
participating companies, giving them a chance to gain practical experience and explore potential
internships.
The conference also honored the efforts of ambassadors from different universities and event
organizers with official certificates of appreciation, acknowledging their roles in the success of
TechVision.
IEEE BAU WIE takes immense pride in leading this impactful initiative and looks forward to expanding its
community outreach and empowering students through innovation and connection.
