IEEE president visited Yarmouk University – 2023
In his first rounds, the IEEE president visited Yarmouk University, where he met with the students and members of the societies and affinity groups that belong to the IEEE-Yarmouk chapter in the presence of Prof.Mwaffaq Otoom the Dean of the Engineering College, several members of the university’s administrative and teaching staff, as well as student branch supervisors at Yarmouk University, Dr.Ala’ Khalifeh the chair of the IEEE-Jordan section, and several members of the IEEE executive committee. The meeting was marked by interaction with the students in a discussion session during which he listened to their various opinions and questions.
He emphasized the importance of diligence, perseverance, and collaboration to achieve successful and serious work. He shared his experiences and steps to success with them, focusing on the importance and mission of IEEE and its professional activities, which include technology development for the benefit of human life, support for scientific and engineering conferences, publishing research in reputable journals, and sharing knowledge to serve the world.
The meeting also featured a presentation on the activities and accomplishments of the IEEE Yarmouk chapter during the previous period. As a culmination of his visit to Yarmouk University, The president of IEEE was honored by the University President.
